# Bicep Prerequisites

Learn about the prerequisites for using Bicep to deploy Azure Verified Modules or develop them.

You will need the following tools and components to complete this guide:
Visual Studio Code (VS Code) to develop your solution. Bicep Visual Studio Code Extension to author your Bicep template and explore modules published in the Registry. One of the following command line tools: PowerShell AND Azure PowerShell Azure CLI to deploy your solution. Bicep CLI Azure Subscription to deploy your Bicep templates.
